The Market
In a decade, Georgia's food landscape has been rewritten. Carrefour entered the country in 2012 and now operates 95 outlets nationwide across hypermarket, supermarket and convenience formats. Nikora, the country's largest local chain, runs over 600 supermarkets in every neighbourhood from the capital to the regions.
Behind the storefronts, a delivery revolution: grocery delivery in Georgia is projected to grow 30.7% in 2025, and total food consumption is on track to reach $11.1B by 2030 - 27% of which is met through imports today. Demand is real, infrastructure is mature, and shelf space is opening for international brands that arrive with the right partner.
